A little bit about me

Based in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland I am a self-taught mosaic artist with a passion to source materials that find themselves less loved or less useful than they were originally intended. I mainly work with china, slate and ceramic to repurpose them and let them live on in a new guise.

I have always loved creating handmade gifts and cards for family and friends and through their support and encouragement I developed the confidence to sell my work and now love nothing better than meeting people and selling at craft fairs or selling through my website. I still find myself doing a ‘small business owner happy dance’ inside, every time someone loves what I do enough to make a purchase. And I know I always will - thank you everyone!

My product range includes mosaic wall hangings and mosaics captured in shadow boxes along with mosaics created on slate.  I also create a range of jewellery that comprises of necklaces, earrings, brooches, bangles and cufflinks using ceramic, china and slate.

I am always delighted to create specific items for clients, sometimes even using their own china or ceramic that may hold special meaning. If this is you, please get in touch.

And finally, my love of crafting started at a very early age with painting, drawing or just ‘making stuff’. I have been influenced by many people, none more so than both my parents who through the years have been incredibly creative sewers, cooks and woodworkers and in the main still are (even although they are well into the 'senior' years!).
